Guido MuscoGuido Musco

Born in Reggio Calabria (south of Italy) in 1946, I took a foreign language degree and taught English for a lot of years in Trieste, where I live.

Besides writing and illustrating my picture books, I edit their graphic composition.

I have published a book of children’s stories (Favolar) and a story (Betty and Coccolina) which gave me the second prize at the competition “Una favola per sognare”.

In 2006 I have obtained a mention at the competition “Regium Julii” in Reggio Calabria for the vernacular poetry and in 2010, for the same category, the first prize at the competition “Giovanni Cianci” in Fiumara (RC).

I am expert on the dialect of Reggio Calabria and I am shortly going to publish a Grammar and the translation of “Pinocchio” by Collodi.
